It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cells in culture by inhibiting the synthesis of DNA and RNA. N6-Benzoyl-7'-hydroxy-N-trityl morpholino adenine has shown cytotoxicity against various cancer cells, including human leukemia cells, human lung cancer cells, and human breast cancer cells. The cytotoxic effects are thought to be due to inhibition of DNA synthesis and RNA synthesis.
