Product Information
N6-Benzoyl-5'-O-DMT-2'-O-(2-methoxyethyl)adenosine is a nucleoside analog that inhibits the activity of HIV reverse transcriptase. It is an antiviral agent that prevents the synthesis of viral DNA by competitively inhibiting the incorporation of deoxynucleotide triphosphates into viral DNA. This drug also has been shown to be effective against cytomegalovirus (CMV), herpes simplex virus, and varicella zoster virus (VZV). N6-Benzoyl-5'-O-DMT-2'-O-(2-methoxyethyl)adenosine has been synthesized with phosphoramidites and purified to high quality standards. The chemical structure includes a modified sugar moiety, an altered base moiety, and a unique phosphate group.
