Product Information
Lasiodonin is a chemical compound that is extracted from the root of Lasiodora diffusa. It has been studied for its cytotoxic effects on HL-60 cells and has been shown to have significant cytotoxicity in a dose-dependent manner. The matrix effect and ent-kaurane diterpenoid, phenolic acid, and other constituents contribute to the cytotoxicity of this compound. In addition, lasiodonin has been demonstrated to inhibit the growth of several types of cancer cells in vitro by blocking DNA synthesis through inhibition of topoisomerase II. The mechanism of action is thought to be due to the inhibition of hl-60 cell proliferation via multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) using LC/MS/MS analysis.
