Description:

3-(4-Acetyl-5-methyl-1H-pyrrol-3-yl)propanoic acid is a protonated form of 3-(4-acetyl-5-methyl-1H-pyrrol-3-yl)acrylic acid. It has been shown to be more stable than the neutral form, which can be degraded by chemical reactions. This compound is used in polymer matrices as a transition metal ion chelator and has been shown to increase the uptake of vinyl alcohol monomers.
