Description

Methacrylic acid N-hydroxysuccinimide ester is a biodegradable and chemically stable polymer that is used to synthesize nanogels. It can be activated with a cross-linking agent, such as glutaraldehyde, to form reactive hydrogels. Methacrylic acid N-hydroxysuccinimide ester has been shown to be biocompatible in vitro and in vivo tests. This polymer is also a sugar residue that can be used for the synthesis of magnetic resonance imaging contrast agents or as a cross-linking agent for drug delivery systems.
