Description:L-Cytidine is a nucleoside that is found in the body, and is also used as a drug. It is a precursor to other nucleosides, such as cytidine triphosphate, which is involved in DNA synthesis and repair. L-Cytidine has been shown to be effective against HIV infection by inhibiting the activity of the enzyme ns3 protease.
