4-Chloro-5-methyl-7-(2-C-methyl-b-D-ribofuranosyl)-7H-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidine is a synthetic nucleoside analog that inhibits the viral DNA polymerase and prevents the synthesis of viral DNA. 4CMP 7MRP has antiviral, anticancer, and antiinflammatory activities. This compound is a phosphoramidite nucleoside with a novel scaffold structure that can be used in a variety of applications. It is also highly soluble in water and has high purity.
