4-Chloro-6-imidazol-1-yl-pyrimidine is a quaternary ammonium compound that can be used to make antireflection coatings. It has been shown to have a high degree of compatibility with polymers, such as allyl carbonate, which are used in functional groups. 4-Chloro-6-imidazol-1-yl-pyrimidine has also been shown to react with stannous octoate, and the reaction time is dependent on the concentration of both compounds.
