Description:
1-(2'-Deoxy-5'-O-DMT-2'-fluoro-b-D-arabinofuranosyl)thymine is a synthetic nucleoside that is used to synthesize DNA and RNA. It is modified with 2', 5' -O-dimethoxytrityl group at the 2' position of the sugar moiety, which is used for protection against degradation by exo- and endo-nucleases. The monophosphate form of 1-(2'-Deoxy-5'-O-DMT-2'-fluoro-b-D-arabinofuranosyl)thymine has also been shown to have anticancer activity.
