5'-O-DMT-N4-isobutyryl-2'-O-methylcytidine is a novel, synthetic nucleoside. It is a phosphoramidate prodrug of 5'-deoxy-5'-O-dimethoxytrityl-N4-isobutyrylcytidine, which is an antiviral and anticancer agent. 5'-O-DMT-N4-isobutyrylcytidine inhibits DNA synthesis by competitively inhibiting the activity of the enzyme ribonucleotide reductase (RNR).
