Product Information
3-Deoxysappanone B is a natural compound with neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory properties. It has been shown to induce the production of hematopoietic cells in mice and stimulate the growth factor receptor in cervical cancer cells, which inhibits tumor cell growth. 3-Deoxysappanone B also has antibacterial properties against bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics such as methicillin, penicillin, and vancomycin. This compound binds to the bacterial ribosome where it blocks protein synthesis by inhibiting the binding of aminoacyl-tRNA to the A site on the ribosome. 3-Deoxysappanone B also inhibits microglia activation in vitro and has been shown to have pharmacological effects against autoimmune diseases, metabolic disorders, and neurodegenerative disorders.
