Description:
Bombinin-like peptide (BLP-1) is a natural antibiotic and antiparasitic that has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria, fungi, and viruses. BLP-1 inhibits microbial growth by interfering with cell membrane integrity. BLP-1 also has anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. It has shown efficacy against cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. BLP-1 is soluble in DMSO or water, with a molecular weight of approximately 5 kDa.
