Description:
Pidobenzone is a potent, reversible inhibitor of the Na+/K+ ATPase pump. It blocks the transport of sodium ions into cells and inhibits cellular functions that are dependent on potassium ions. Pidobenzone has been shown to also be an activator of voltage-gated ion channels. This drug can be used as a research tool for pharmacology studies involving protein interactions or peptide synthesis.
