Description:
2'-Deoxy-2'-fluoro-2-hydroxy-b-D-arabinoadenosine is a novel nucleoside that was synthesized as a potential antiviral agent. It is an analog of adenosine and has been shown to inhibit the replication of HIV in vitro. This nucleoside is synthesized using a modified phosphoramidite approach and can be used in the synthesis of DNA or RNA. 2'-Deoxy-2'-fluoro-2-hydroxy-b-D-arabinoadenosine has also been shown to have anticancer activity.
