In addition, it has been shown to inhibit DNA synthesis and the formation of DNA double strands. 5-(N-Isopentenyl-N-trifluoroacetyl)aminomethyluridine is an activator of protein kinase C and cyclic AMP phosphodiesterase, as well as a DNA polymerase inhibitor with anticancer properties.
