AZ31 is a corrosion-resistant material that is used in the manufacture of biomedical implants and in other applications where corrosion resistance is important. It has been shown to be an effective corrosion inhibitor for magnesium alloys, with a high level of chemical stability. AZ31 also has excellent microstructural properties and can be used as a coating on other materials. AZ31 also displays good mechanical performance and electrical conductivity, making it suitable for use in energy-efficient devices. Chemical analysis has shown that AZ31 contains aluminium, silicon, copper, iron and phosphorus.
