Product Information

Name:
Supinoxin
Description:

Supinoxin is a novel anti-cancer drug that inhibits the growth of cancer cells. Supinoxin is a small molecule that selectively inhibits the activity of RNA helicase and blocks the production of mRNAs, leading to cell death. Supinoxin has been shown to inhibit cancerous cell growth in vitro and in vivo. It has also been shown to have a high therapeutic index in mice with implanted human breast cancer xenografts, showing no toxicity at doses up to 10 times higher than the highest tolerated dose. The pharmacokinetics of supinoxin were studied in caco-2 cells and tissues from rats using LC-MS/MS analysis. The terminal half-life was found to be about 20 hours for both rats and humans, which suggests that supinoxin may be suitable for once-daily dosing.
