Product Information

Name:
aR-9281
Description:

aR-9281 is a monoclonal antibody that targets the CTLA-4 protein. CTLA-4 is expressed by T cells and regulates the immune system by downregulating T cell responses. aR-9281 has been shown to be effective in reducing metabolic rate in mice, which may be due to its ability to increase mitochondrial membrane potential, inhibit CD1+ cell proliferation, and reduce the production of proinflammatory cytokines such as epoxyeicosatrienoic acids. aR-9281 has also been shown to be effective in treating cancer and inflammatory diseases. It can block the effects of proinflammatory cytokines on cancer cells, which leads to reduced tumor size. The drug also reduces inflammation in patients with congestive heart failure or inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis or Crohn's disease.
