Product Information

1-(2'-O-4-C-Methylene-b-D-ribofuranosyl)guanine is a nucleoside that is used in the synthesis of DNA. It is a novel, synthetic nucleoside that has been modified to contain a 2'-O-4-C methylene bridge and an additional ribose moiety at the 3' position. This modification increases the stability of the nucleotide, making it more resistant to degradation by phosphodiesterases. 1-(2'-O-4-C-Methylene-b-D-ribofuranosyl)guanine may be used as an antiviral agent against HIV and influenza A virus. The compound has also shown anticancer activities in mice with leukemia induced by busulfan.
