7-(2-C-Methyl-b-D-ribofuranosyl)-7H-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidin-2-amine (Ampyra) is a synthetic nucleoside activator of the deoxyribonucleoside monophosphate (dNMP) and dNMP diphosphate (dNDP) pathways. It has antiviral and anticancer activities, as well as an inhibitory effect on DNA synthesis by blocking the polymerization of deoxyribonucleotides.
It is also an inhibitor of histone acetyltransferase and may be useful in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. Ampryra is a novel compound with high purity and high quality. It is phosphoramidite that can be used for the preparation of oligodeoxynucleotides for use in DNA sequencing or gene therapy.
