It is an analogue of adenosine, which inhibits the synthesis of viral RNA and DNA. This compound can also be used to treat certain types of cancer. 2'-O-(N-Methylanthraniloyl)-3'-deoxy-adenosine-5'-triphosphate triethylammonium salt is chemically synthesized by reacting anthranilic acid with 3',5'-dideoxyadenosine 5' triphosphoric acid.
