2'-O-Methylguanosine 5'-triphosphate lithium salt (2OGTP) is an activator of adenylate cyclase. It has been shown to have antiviral properties in the stabilization of hepatitis B virus and influenza A virus. 2OGTP activates the RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRP) and causes a significant activation of the biochemical reactions associated with rna synthesis. This compound also has cardioprotective effects, which are mediated by its ability to activate adenylate cyclase. This activation leads to increased cAMP levels and subsequent phosphorylation of protein kinase A, which results in decreased cardiac arrhythmias.
