2-(1H-Imidazol-2-yl)-thiazole is a heterocyclic compound that is an imidazole derivative. It has been shown to be active against the population of hetero cells in the skin and hair follicles in mice. This drug also has a divalent effect, which means it can bind to two sites on the cell's DNA. 2-(1H-Imidazol-2-yl)-thiazole has been shown to cause alopecia in rats and humans. 2-(1H-Imidazol-2-yl)-thiazole also inhibits the production of pluripotent cells, such as stem cells and neural progenitor cells, from bone marrow.
