Product Information
NS13001 is a small molecule that has been shown to induce apoptotic cell death in leukemia cells. It binds to the cytochrome p450 protein, which is an important regulator of intracellular calcium. NS13001 binds to calmodulin and alters calcium signaling, leading to the activation of pro-apoptotic genes. This drug also increases the cytosolic calcium concentration by activating the ryanodine receptor, which results in cerebellar Purkinje neurons degeneration. NS13001 has been shown to be effective against lymphocytic leukemia cells that express activated caspase 3 and microglia cells.
