2',3',5'-Tri-O-benzoylguanosine is an anticancer nucleoside that inhibits the synthesis of DNA and RNA. It is a novel synthetic monophosphate nucleoside analog with antiviral and antitumor activities. 2',3',5'-Tri-O-benzoylguanosine has shown to be effective against human leukemia cells, lymphoma cells, prostate cancer cells, and melanoma cells in vitro. The drug also inhibits the growth of HIV virus in vitro.
