Description:5-O-Tritylinosine is a modified nucleoside that has shown anticancer and antiviral properties. It is the monophosphate ester of 5-methyluracil and has been shown to inhibit DNA synthesis in vitro. 5-O-Tritylinosine has also been shown to inhibit the replication of herpes simplex virus type 1, which may be due to its ability to inhibit viral DNA polymerase.
