- Apigenin-7-O-neohesperidoside
Apigenin-7-neohesperidoside is a flavonoid that has been shown to have a variety of biological properties. One of these properties is the inhibition of the binding of human serum albumin to carcinoma cells, which may be due to its ability to form intramolecular hydrogen bonds with proteins. Apigenin-7-neohesperidoside has also been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria in infectious diseases and may also have anti-inflammatory effects. 3DCTKP binds to penicillin-binding proteins in bacterial cell walls by competitive inhibition, and this binding prevents the formation of an antibiotic-inhibitor complex with the enzyme cell wall synthesis that is required for cell wall biosynthesis, inhibiting protein synthesis and cell division.
