Description

Quercetin 3-O-gentiobioside is a natural compound that is found in many plants, such as apples and onions. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects and antioxidant properties. Quercetin 3-O-gentiobioside has been shown to inhibit the production of proinflammatory cytokines, such as IL-2, IL-4, IL-5, IL-6 and TNFα. In addition, it has been shown to decrease the induction of allergic symptoms in an experimental model using sodium citrate as a vehicle for oral administration. Quercetin 3-O-gentiobioside has also been shown to be effective against liver lesions caused by chronic alcohol consumption or nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).
