Description:OxymaPure® is a hydrogen bond-based molecular probe that binds to the hydroxamic acid group of bacterial cell walls. It has been shown to have an antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. OxymaPure® is soluble in water, making it suitable for oral administration. The safety profile of OxymaPure® includes studies in rats, indicating that it does not cause any toxic effects at doses up to 2000 mg/kg body weight. OxymaPure® can be synthesized on a solid phase by using carbodiimides as reactive agents and linkers as additive materials. This process is relatively rapid and produces high yields of the desired product.
