- Glucofranqulin B
Glucofrangulin B is a natural product that can be found in the roots of the tree Viscum album, which is commonly known as mistletoe. It has been shown to inhibit casein kinase activity and syringaresinol transport to the cell wall. Glucofrangulin B also interacts with transporter proteins in the plasma membrane and viscum, an acidic polysaccharide found in plants from the Rhamnaceae family. The interaction of Glucofrangulin B with viscum results in increased solubility of this compound, which may be due to its 2-glucoside structure. The effect of Glucofrangulin B on the absorption of syringaresinol was demonstrated by chromatographic analysis using butanol as a solvent.
