Description:
Cycloart-23-ene-3,25-diol is an analog of Chrysanthemum morifolium with antiproliferative and antitumor activities. It inhibits the growth of cancer cells by inhibiting DNA synthesis. Cycloart-23-ene-3,25-diol does not affect normal cells. This compound has been shown to have a selective inhibitory effect on cancer stem cells in the brain and spinal cord. Cycloart-23-ene-3,25-diol also inhibits proliferation of chrysanthemum morifolium cells and induces apoptosis.
