3',4'-Dimethoxy-±-naphthoflavone (DMNF) is a ligand that binds to the nuclear receptor, represses vessel growth and angiogenesis. DMNF binds to response elements in gene promoters and regulates gene transcription. DMNF has been shown to inhibit inflammatory skin diseases, carcinoma cells and modulate estrogen levels. This drug also has anti-inflammatory properties through its ability to activate the redox signal in acute phase response.
