Adropin is a peptide that binds to the activator domain of phospholipase A2 (PLA2) and inhibits the enzyme. It has been shown to be an inhibitor of PLA2 in human, mouse, and rat cells. Adropin can also inhibit ion channels and cell signaling pathways by binding to cell surface receptors. This research tool may be used for studying protein interactions and pharmacology.
