Description:5'-Benzoylthymidine 3'-CE phosphoramidite is a nucleoside analogue. It is used as an antiviral, antitumor and antimicrobial agent. 5'-Benzoylthymidine 3'-CE phosphoramidite can be synthesized by the reaction of 5'-benzoylthymidine with chloroethyl-N,N-diisopropylphosphoramidite in an organic solvent. This compound has been shown to be active against DNA viruses such as Herpes simplex virus type 1 and 2, Varicella zoster virus, Cytomegalovirus, Epstein-Barr virus, human immunodeficiency virus type 1 and 2, human T cell leukemia virus type 1 and 2, Hepatitis B virus, Hepatitis C virus and influenza A virus. It also has anticancer activity.
