4-Methoxy-4'-methyldiphenylamine is a heterocyclic compound that belongs to the group of pyran derivatives. It has been shown to be an enamine, intramolecular protonation, and pyran ring annulation. 4-Methoxy-4'-methyldiphenylamine has been synthesized by reductive alkylation of 2-bromoacetophenone with 2-methylbenzaldehyde followed by treatment with hydrazine hydrate in a homologous reaction. The substituents on the carbazole nucleus are not known.
