2-Bromo-4-chloropyridine-3-carboxaldehyde is a synthetic compound that has been shown to inhibit the kinase activity of the tyrosine kinase receptor, a protein that regulates cell growth and differentiation. It was developed as a potential treatment for autoimmune diseases, including erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis. This drug has been studied in clinical trials as an oral agent with good pharmacokinetic properties and was found to be safe and well tolerated at doses up to 1000mg per day.
