Product Information
H-Arg-Gly-Asp-Ser-Lys-OH is a peptide that is used as a marker for the identification of villi in the small intestine. The peptide is synthesized by gland cells in the intestinal epithelium and released into the lumen of the small intestine. It is then taken up by other cells such as enterocytes, which are located at the apical end of villi. In untreated animals and humans, H-Arg-Gly-Asp-Ser-Lys-OH can be detected using immunohistochemistry on tissue sections and flow cytometry.
