It is a phosphoramidite compound and is synthesized from 2'-deoxyadenosine 5'-O-(4,4'-dimethoxytrityl) N2-methylguanosine 3'-cyanoethyl phosphoramidite. This compound has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells by inhibiting DNA synthesis. 2'-Deoxy-5'-O-DMT-N2-methylguanosine 3'-CE phosphoramidite has been shown to be an effective anticancer drug in vivo and in vitro.
