Description:5'-O-DMT-2'-O-methyl-5-methyluridine 3'-CE phosphoramidite is a novel antiviral and anticancer agent. It is a nucleoside analog that mimics the natural product from which it was synthesized, 2'-deoxycytidine 5'-O-DMT-3'-CE phosphoramidite. It has been shown to inhibit replication of DNA in vitro with an IC50 of less than 10 nM. 5'-O-DMT-2'-O-methyl-5-methyluridine 3'-CE phosphoramidite is also an inhibitor of human telomerase activity and can be used as a potential therapeutic for cancer treatment.
