CGP 52432 has been shown to inhibit the binding of estradiol benzoate with DNA in vitro and to have pharmacological properties similar to those of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. The drug has been shown to be a low potency antagonist of rat 2-adrenergic receptors in vitro and is being studied for its potential as a treatment for neuropathic pain.
