Description:Foli-PASTIN is a biological agent that has antibacterial activity. Foli-PASTIN binds to the hydroxyl group of bacterial cell wall peptidoglycan, which inhibits the synthesis of bacterial cell wall and causes bacterial death. It has been shown to be active against S. aureus and other Gram-positive bacteria. Foli-PASTIN also binds to the cannabinoid receptor antagonist, blocking its binding site on mammalian cells and preventing activation of these cells by cannabinoids. Foli-PASTIN is used as an anti-inflammatory agent in humans and animals, but it has no therapeutic use in patients with cancer.
