Description

[Dap3]-Ghrelin (Rat) is an analog of the peptide hormone Ghrelin and is a growth-hormone releasing peptide. Ghrelin has various effects on the body, including stimulating appetite, nutrient sensing and meal initiation. It has also been found to regulate insulin resistance, diabetes and obesity and asserts its functional affects through acting as an endogenous ligand for the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHS-R).
