Product Information
AMG 548 is a small molecule that binds to the β-catenin protein in the cytoplasm. This binding prevents the formation of covalent linkages between β-catenin and other proteins, thereby inhibiting its role in signal transduction. AMG 548 has been shown to be effective against inflammatory bowel disease in rats and may also have potential for treating autoimmune diseases such as arthritis. AMG 548 is metabolized by peptidases in the gut, liver, and kidney and has a high clearance rate. The pharmacokinetic properties of this drug are not yet known.
