It is used to study the serotonin syndrome, which is a condition that occurs when there are high levels of serotonin in the central nervous system. 25D-Nbome hydrochloride has been shown to be effective for treating muscle spasms and may be useful for treating symptoms of patients with skeletal muscle diseases such as muscular dystrophy or myasthenia gravis. This drug has also been shown to inhibit ryanodine receptor currents in skeletal muscle cells.
