Product Information
TD-198946 is a small molecule that inhibits the activity of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) and downstream targets such as Akt, mTOR and protein kinase C. It has been shown to inhibit bone resorption by blocking the activation of osteoclasts, which are cells responsible for bone breakdown. TD-198946 also promotes the formation of new bone by mediating the differentiation of pluripotent stem cells into chondrocytes in vitro. This drug has been shown to promote regeneration and enhance healing in vivo through an increase in expression of growth factors.
