Description:Cytokeratin 8 is a human protein that is encoded by the KRT8 gene. It is a type I transmembrane protein that consists of three alpha-helical domains. Cytokeratin 8 has been shown to be involved in the regulation of keratinocyte migration, differentiation and proliferation.
