Product Information

Name:
IMD-0560
Description:

IMD-0560 is a synthetic, small molecule that has been shown to inhibit the growth of prostate cancer cells in vitro. This compound binds to the androgen receptor, which is known to be overexpressed in prostate cancer cells. The binding of IMD-0560 to the androgen receptor prevents it from interacting with growth factor-β1 (GF-β1), which is necessary for prostate cancer cell proliferation. In addition, IMD-0560 causes a decrease in the release of chemoattractant protein from prostate cancer cells. This inhibition leads to decreased migration of prostate cancer cells and an increase in tumor cell death.
IMD-0560 has also been shown to inhibit the growth of squamous carcinoma cells through binding to the epidermal growth factor receptor, which inhibits its downstream signaling pathways.
