EB-3D is a small-molecule inhibitor of choline uptake and biosynthesis that has been shown to inhibit tumor cell growth. EB-3D binds to the CB2 receptor, which is found in cells of the immune system. The EB-3D molecule also inhibits cellular senescence by blocking the activity of amp-activated protein kinase (AMPK) in human breast cancer cells. In vivo studies have shown that EB-3D inhibits tumor growth in mice with mda-mb-231 breast cancer cells.
