Cephalexin is a natural antibiotic that has been shown to be effective against bowel disease. It is a cephalosporin antibiotic and is used in the treatment of streptococcal pharyngitis and other bacterial infections. Cephalexin has also been shown to be effective in controlling analysis of bacteria. This antibiotic binds to the ribosomal subunit and inhibits protein synthesis, leading to cell death by inhibiting the production of proteins vital for cell division. The optimum concentration for cephalexin is 0.5-2 mg/ml. Cephalexin has been shown to inhibit oxidative injury in cells by chemical inhibitors such as HgCl2.
