Product Information
Antimicrobial compound 1 is a labiate extract that is composed of an acetate extract, gel chromatography and animal studies. It has been shown to have antibacterial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, such as Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The antimicrobial activity may be due to the presence of chloride ions or structured molecules in the extract. Antimicrobial compound 1 also has antibacterial activity against mastitis in cows and ophthalmic infections in humans. This compound may also have nepetalactone as its active ingredient.
